What's the role?

As a part-qualified Accounts Semi-Senior working within our Finchley office, you will be assisting the managers and partners in the management and delivery of accounts preparation services for our Owner Managed Business Client portfolio. Your key tasks and responsibilities:

• Preparing statutory year end account from records: planning through to completion
• Preparing accounts and tax returns for partnerships
• Managing deadlines and client expectations
• First review of statutory accounts and stress management accounts
• Dealing with queries from clients via email and on the phone
• Reviewing VAT returns
• Some management accounts
• Providing on the job training for junior members of the team
• Attending client sites

Key competencies and experience:

• Solid all round technical skills
• Ability to take ownership of a portfolio of clients
• Obtain a good standard of communication both written and verbal
• Ability to manage workload and deadlines
• Willing to go the extra mile when required
• Experience of accounts preparation
• Experience of VAT return preparation
• An understanding of budgets and recoveries
• Experience with working with outsourcing teams is preferred
• Experience with working on IRIS and Xero is preferred
• ACA/ACCA part-qualified
