Assistant Surveyor - 1 year Property Placement

Position: Assistant Surveyor

Location: Glasgow (G2 4BG)

Job Type: Fixed term role of 12 months, to commence June/July 2019

Salary: £16,000 per annum

About the role:

The successful candidate will work alongside the Regional Head of Property dealing with commercial property matters across a variety of property sectors and clients to provide a comprehensive, efficient and a professional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and measurement of properties for existing and new clients
  • Online research on property portals, compiling data and comparable evidence
  • Ringing around agents and market contacts to collate comparable evidence and market insight
  • Reviewing and analysing property leases
  • Deal with surveyors and third parties to negotiate terms for clients across a variety of property transactions
  • Maintaining client databases and regular reporting
  • Responsibility for developing a Property focussed social media proposition, in conjunction with central marketing team
  • Provide a first-class service, developing and strengthening client relationships
  • Any other ad-hoc duties required to fulfil the objectives of our business

About you:

  • Have a practical approach
  • Have good relationship skills
  • Be achievement focused
  • Studying a relevant RICS accredited course of Higher Education
  • Be keen to drive their personal development
  • Be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Be technology focused and able to adapt to multiple or new system
  • Hold a full driving licence and be comfortable driving to client sites
