We are recruiting for an Accounts and Audit Junior to work across our well established Finchley office reporting directly to Managers and Partners. The position will be to work with our clients and provide support with year-end accounts and audit.

We are a top 15 accountancy firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK. A well-established firm since the 1930's with an entrepreneurial and dynamic feel who are continuing to grow nationally as well as regionally.

The Accounts and Audit Junior role is offering a competitive salary, progression within the team and study support if required.

The Accounts and Audit Junior duties will be:

Accounts preparation:

  • Prepare analyses and make postings using the firm's accounting software;
  • Produce straightforward draft financial statements in statutory format using the firm's accounting software;
  • Complete disclosure checklists for companies preparing accounts under UK GAAP;


  • Prepare audit planning documentation for review by the supervisor;
  • Carry out internal control, system and walkthrough tests;
  • Attend simple stock stakes;
  • Carry out basic audit tests as part of a team in relation to other statutory or non-statutory audits and due diligence work;


  • Prepare annual returns and other documents for filing with Companies House;
  • Complete company statutory books;
  • Identify basic tax adjustments arising from accounts production and audit work;
  • Prepare simple corporation tax returns using the firm's taxation software;


  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word necessary


  • 3 A levels at grade C or equivalent.
