Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and highly enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our team in Great Yarmouth.

The role will be covering all basic accounts work and provides an opportunity to develop bookkeeping skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Processing supplier and debtor's invoices and ensuring timely supplier payments
  • Balancing accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns and EC Sales List submissions
  • Monitor VAT deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients
  • Monitoring aged listings
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
  • Ad hoc duties

What you will need to be:

  • Punctual, presentable and with the ability communicate.
  • Be authentic in every situation and like to be connected to your team, clients and local communities
  • Like to listen and understand, to show up every day with passion and to stand up for things that matter to you


  • Knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks online would be useful
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills including use of Excel
  • Good time management skills with the ability to work towards tight deadlines.


You will ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience with external clients and have experience of using systems like cloud accounting software.
