Position: FP&A Senior Analyst / Consultant

Location: Northampton, NN4 7YB (with some national travel where needed)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the role:

The primary objective for the successful candidate is to offer process improvement to our clients through management information projects and financial planning and analysis.

This typically consists of advising on improving reporting, forecasting or similar financial processes, using automation and reducing manual effort. Projects typically result in time savings for clients which in turn speeds up the delivery of information to decision-makers, whilst improving accuracy.

Some travel and overnight stays will be expected with this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and delivery of assignments
  • Planning assignments, including budgeting through to completion
  • Delivering high quality and meaningful information to clients in a timely manner
  • Displaying commercial awareness and in-depth client and industry knowledge
  • Managing client relationships, and communications in an effective manner
  • Experience with helping clients with their financial planning

About you:

  • Past experience in an FP&A background
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel user and modelling experience is essential
  • Analytical skills, and able to challenge information that is presented to you
  • Professional services background with experience working directly with clients would be beneficial but not essential
  • Proactive self-starter who works to deadlines, with drive and commitment to self-development
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication, ability to share ideas with confidence to an audience
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at clients
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent would be highly desirable
  • Prince2 & Lean Six Sigma qualified would be advantageous
  • Mathematics degree or strong mathematics skills
  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience would be beneficial
