Group HR Coordinator

Location - Home based (ideally based around Bedforshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire where possible)

Working 2 days per week 9am - 5.30pm on a 12month fixed term contract

What is the Role?

The Group HR Coordinator will oversee Haines Watts Kickstart programme and be the national lead coordinator for the Kickstart Cohort 2021. They will oversee the local administration, lead on the national on-boarding and facilitate cohort networking events.

The key duties of this role are as follows:

  • Oversee gateway registration process for each office
  • Liaise with the Gateway Company and access the Gateway Company (GC) portal as required
  • Ensure each office has completed the role profile templates for each kickstart placement and support the follow up process
  • Support office in the application process, including any contact with the Gateway Company (via Zoom or Microsoft Teams)
  • Support offices in the selection process
  • Support offices in the offer process
  • Lead on the national on-boarding training for the cohort
  • Set up and facilitate regular networking events for the cohort
  • Lead the arrangements and management of Kickstart placements across the organisation
  • Day to day monitoring and coordinating before, during and after the Kickstart placements
  • Act as the first point of contact to our regional HR/People leads, receiving and handling phone calls, providing advice and guidance in a timely and professional manner
  • Administrative duties across the whole Kickstart Scheme project
  • Support our regional and HR/People leads who have Kickstart placements to ensure the placements are successful. Identifying any additional support needed, and managing any issues that arise throughout the placement
  • Support the coordination of regular training, development and support opportunities
  • Support the development of the Kickstart guidelines and requirements
  • Facilitate internal communications relating to the kickstart cohort
  • Work with Group Marketing to consider external PR and marketing opportunities for the programme cohort
  • Undertake training and development as required to the role
  • Carry out other activities of a similar nature as reasonably required.

  • Experience and interest in the career development and support of placements for young people
  • Empathy with the aims and values of the Kickstart scheme and organisation
  • The ability to build effective working relationships
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluation processes
  • A good understanding of HR and onboarding processes relating to work placements
  • The ability to plan, organise your own workload and deal with competing demands
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
  • The confidence to communicate at all levels to build strong relationships
  • Effective time and workload management
