We are currently recruiting for a HR Senior Advisor to join our expanding businesses in the West Midlands. This is a truly generalist role where the incumbent will have the opportunity to get involved with all touchpoints of the employee life cycle.

This will be the first dedicated HR appointment in the region and will suit highly skilled entrepreneurial individuals who are able to work without close supervision and who wish to assist us in achieving our strategic goal of being the number one advisor to owner managed businesses.

We are a top 15 accountancy firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK. A well-established firm since the 1930's with an entrepreneurial and dynamic feel who are continuing to grow nationally as well as regionally.

The HR Senior Advisor role is offering a competitive salary and great benefits package.

The HR Senior Advisor duties will be:

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Act as subject matter expert in HR systems
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Scheduling HR activities and maintaining HR calendar
  • Perform orientations, on boarding and update records with new hires
  • Produce reports on general HR activity
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, reporting to the partner set
  • Working with national HR team to cascade Group initiatives
  • Formulate methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes and operational improvement


  • Good experience as a HR Generalist
  • Experience of working on own initiative
  • Understanding of professional services would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong analytical mind-set and comfort working with numbers
  • Exposure to employment relations issues
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong IT skills, with a good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Have high attention to detail
