Haines Watts are recruiting a Marketing & Events Administrator to join their busy team, based in Birmingham.

Haines Watts are a well-established Company, offering accountancy, specialist tax and business advisory services to clients including limited companies, charities and individuals.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, providing dedicated administrative and support in relation to new business, marketing and events.

Duties/responsibilities:

1. Internal Marketing

  • Attend marketing related meetings and help co-ordinate activities and take minutes when needed

2. Email Management

  • Collating and issuing national, regional and internal communication emails
  • Scheduling marketing emails to be sent to clients, prospects & contacts
  • Creating and issuing regional / Birmingham office newsletters, to include summary blogs and internal activity and successes.

3. Events Management

  • Overseeing the internal and external events programme/calendar.
  • Managing internal diary invites, invite schedules, chasing RSVPS and dietary requirements etc.
  • Liaising with external venues in relation to networking events or client hospitality.
  • Working with the Business Development Manager and Partners to collate guest lists, liaise with guest speakers when appropriate.
  • Identifying potential useful networking events and highlighting these to the Business Development Manager.
  • Overseeing the company's presence at external trade shows / exhibitions, including coordinating logistics, stands, marketing collateral etc.
  • Tracking upcoming Chamber events and tracking these in BDM / Partner diaries.

4. Website Updates

  • Liaising closely with other UK offices, Partners and Managers regarding the uploading of regular blogs and communication pieces.
  • Working with the London office to schedule diaries for interviews / blogs
  • Distributing new blogs for all staff to share across corporate and social media channels.

Essential

  • Administration experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
  • Able to work within a team.
  • Good at building relationships and working collaboratively.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • Proficient in word, excel and powerpoint.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Professional services background e.g. financial or legal.
  • Administrative experience of CRM systems.
