Due to growth we are recruiting for a full-time Professional Services Administrator to work within our Colchester office by assisting the team in all areas including reception, client service and document organisation. This is ideally suited to an administrator who has accountancy practice experience working within the administration team of a fast-pace accounting firm.

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Office 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel, ideally with a knowledge of Xero and Dext (Receipt Bank).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in an accountancy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.


The key duties of this role include:-

Working with colleagues' office wide to complete all administration functions of the office, specifically, but not limited to:

  • Answering the telephone and covering the reception desk as and when required, including meeting and greeting clients.
  • Setting up of new clients, checking paperwork complies with HW and money laundering procedures for sign off by MLO Undertaking confidential projects for Senior Managers, Directors and Partners.
  • Scanning of documents received by clients.
  • The preparation and filing of clients' Confirmation Statements at Companies House, including maintaining the Register of Persons with Significant Control.
  • Ensure the electronic filing is up to date and in the HW format.
  • Making telephone calls to HMRC on behalf of any department, including Personal Tax, PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax.
  • Keeping up to date with systems and ensuring your knowledge is kept up to date when new versions, modules, etc. are released.
