Job Description

This position would suit an AAT qualified accountant. A preference for and experience in the charity sector and/or pension fund accounts is strongly desired although not essential. The position will be to work with our clients and provide support with year-end accounts and audit.

You will be part of a growing accounts team that provides an outstanding quality of service to clients.

The role includes year end accounting work and audit and offers great opportunities to liaise directly with clients and develop your skills.

You will have the opportunity to both contribute to and share in the success of this team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors and liaise with our colleagues in other teams to provide a high quality service to our clients.

Academic Requirements: AAT qualified or equivalent

As an Accounts and Audit Junior your typical daily duties will include:

Preparation of year-end limited company, partnership, sole trader and sector specific accounts

Assistance with statutory audits

Preparation of corporation tax computations for smaller clients

To report in a timely and accurate manner to client queries

To keep manager informed of case progress and any issues arising

To raise profile of the firm by ensuring clients are fully satisfied by the service they receive

Have an awareness of the various services provided by Haines Watts

Maintain a professional working relationship with both clients and the wider Haines Watts team

Attend all training courses as required
