Job Description

Due to growth we are recruiting for an Accounts and Audit Semi Senior / Senior to work within our Hornchurch office reporting directly to Managers and Partners. The position will surround contributing to the provision of an excellent service to a diverse range of clients, providing support to managers, and supervising junior staff.

We are a top 15 accountancy firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK. A well-established firm since the 1930's with an entrepreneurial and dynamic feel who are continuing to grow nationally as well as regionally.

The Accounts and Audit Semi Senior / Senior role is offering a highly competitive salary, progression within the team and study support.

The Accounts Semi Senior / Senior duties will be:

  • Preparing statutory year end account from records: planning through to completion
  • Preparing accounts and tax returns for partnerships
  • Managing deadlines and client expectations
  • First review of statutory accounts
  • Dealing with queries from clients via email and on the phone
  • Prepare / Review VAT returns
  • Some management accounts
  • Providing on the job training for junior members of the team
  • Preparing for and visiting clients
  • Attend audits, in either a junior or senior capacity. The accounts to audit mix will be 80/20

Experience

  • Leadership experience - delegating work to juniors
  • Experience of working towards budgets and time sheets
  • Experience of Iris and Sage Line 50 would be preferred, but not essential
  • An understanding of cloud accounting packages would be beneficial

Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA part qualified
