We are a Top 15 firm based in the Huntingdon area, looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join our friendly professional team to help with our fast growth plans in 2018.

The Accounts Senior role is within a team of 11 people and will concentrate on working with small to medium sized owner managed businesses with no audit involvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to move into the Top 15 to progress their career or for an experienced and competent team member to consolidate their role. We value experience as much as we do qualifications.

You must have at least three years experience within practice to be considered for the role as the right candidate will be able to work independently, with some support, from day one.

The Accounts Senior will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Assisting junior staff from time to time
  • VAT Return preparation
  • Management accounts reporting monthly
  • Direct client contact and relationship building
  • Statutory accounts preparation and FRS102
  • Corporation Tax Returns, Income Tax Returns

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Practice
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with Sage, Xero and common accounts software
  • Relaxed, friendly style

The ideal candidate will have used IRIS, although this is not essential.

We are looking to find a new team member who can work with us through our current growth spell. The role is flexible and could accommodate part time hours (although full time is preferred) and could equally suit someone with a strong career mindset or an individual who wants to take time to consolidate their skills.
