About the role:

The Assistant Management Accountant will have the opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of clients within the owner managed space. Part of a wider team providing an outsourced finance function, you will be in a client facing role, establishing strong relationships with a significant number of business owners across the region.

Responsibilities:

- Preparing and posting general ledger entries (including sales and purchase invoices)

- Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts

- Performing closing and operational analysis in line with client requirements

- Generating supporting schedules and reconciliations to accompany the client's company financial statements

- Supporting clients on accounting issues, daily accounting tasks and ad hoc requests

- Preparing client deliverables, building relationships with the client (including their staff) and acting as an ambassador for the business

- Initiate and work with other teams across the region (including other service lines) to the benefit of the client including referring opportunities where relevant and minimising risk (to both the business and the client)

About you:

- Minimum 2 years experience in Practice or Industry with a high degree of management accounting experience

- Part qualified ACCA / ACA / AAT / CIMA

- To be able to identify business opportunities

- Relevant accounting experience

- Exposure to owner managed businesses

- IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel / Word

- Experience of key accounting packages (such as IRIS, Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks)
