Job Description

This position would suit an experienced ACA/ACCA qualified audit senior with sound technical knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accounts and audit assignments and will be reporting to the job manager.

You will be part of a growing accounts team that provides an outstanding quality of service to clients. The role includes year end accounting work, audit, and business taxation and offers great opportunities to liaise directly with clients and develop your skills.

You will have the opportunity to both contribute to and share in the success of this team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors and liaise with our colleagues in other teams to provide a high quality service to our clients.

Acadaemic Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.

The key duties of this role are as follows:-

Produce an accounts/audit working file.

Conduct audit work in accordance with the agreed procedures.

Work within a budget agreed at the planning stage.

If required produce draft tax computations and a provision for inclusion in the accounts.

Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the appropriate checklist.

You will be expected to professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.

You will be expected to attend training to further develop and maintain your technical skills.

You will be expected to supervise and help develop more junior members of staff.

You will be expected to be involved on an ongoing basis in administrative activities such as billing.

You will be expected to plan and control your professional work for the firm's clients within the firm's standard procedures. You will be able to identify basic planning opportunities.

You will be expected to identify and act upon any opportunities you see within the professional work you do to sell more services to existing prospective clients.

You will be expected to have and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the systems that you will be required to use to undertake your role.

You will keep up-to-date with internal policies, procedures and announcements.
