Job Description

We are a Top 15 accountancy firm based in Huntingdon looking to recruit an experienced bookkeeper to join our busy team. The role will be mainly St Ives based due to the location of our client base.

The role will be a mix of bookkeeping for our clients on a rolling monthly basis, management reporting and the preparation of recurring VAT Returns. This opportunity is mainly office based with occasional travel to clients premises in the local area to prepare bookkeeping on site, to deal with client queries or to process opening journals.

As a firm we are Platinum Partners with Xero accounting software and use Sage on a regular basis.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Sales, purchases and nominal ledger management
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Preparation and filing of clients VAT Returns
  • EC Sales lists and Intrastat declarations
  • Producing financial reports and management information

Experience required :

  • Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Previous practice experience is essential
  • Experience of attending client visits off-site
  • Experience of using Xero and Sage Line 50

The role will suit someone with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail as well as good IT and communication skills.

Salary is competitive and will depend on experience and training requirements

Full or part time will be considered.
