Job Description

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our accounts team at Haines Watts Hereford.

The role involves working with clients in Xero so experience with cloud accounting software is preferable.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Sales, purchases and nominal ledger management
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • VAT reconciliation
  • Petty cash and expenses management
  • Inter-Company transactions
  • Wages transactions and reconciliation of salaries and wages control accounts
  • Preparation and filing of clients' VAT Returns

Experience required:

  • Minimum 1-2 years bookkeeping
  • Experience of using Xero, Sage Line 50, CCH or Quickbooks
  • Client interaction

This role will suit someone with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail as well as good IT and communication skills.

Salary is competitive but will depend on experience and training requirements.
