Position: Client Services Manager

Location: South East Midlands Region - Flitwick (MK45)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £29,000 - 34,000 per annum

About the role:

We have one of the countrys largest teams of dedicated service charge accountants with a growing National client base, which is where this opportunity arises.

The role of the service charge team is to deliver a first class service to our clients and contribute to the sector as whole. We undertake a variety of work types for our clients including; accounts preparation and certification, auditing services, taxation compliance, outsourcing solutions, reporting for trade associations and consultancy & general advice.

Key Responsibilities:

The role has varied disciplines acting as the client services manager (key Account Manager) for one or more key clients including preparing service charge accounts, undertaking audit assignments, manage the more junior team members to work on a portfolio of accounts under your control and generally meeting the client needs wherever possible. The role will also entail being involved with practice management and workflow management for the wider team.

We anticipate the role to be split 80% productive (working on key client portfolios) and 20% internal (managing workflow of whole team and reviewing processes and controls)

You will be required to report to and work with the board of directors.

About you:

  • AAT qualified, as a minimum, but ideally part of fully ACCA/ ACA qualified.
  • Have a solid accounting experience ideally obtained within practice
  • Knowledge of service charge accounting would be an advantage.
  • Have strong management, communication and organisational skills.
  • Have experience of managing and controlling workflows in a practice environment
  • Be able to confidently work alone but also be an all-round team player.
  • Have excellent time management.
  • Be focused to work towards both personal and team goals
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and respond promptly to requests
  • Be proficient in Outlook and Word
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level
