The Group People team work closely with the board to develop the Group People Strategy for the business and work with regions to implement it.

People and Training form part of the Group Services team and its purpose is to deliver the Group People Strategy, provide best practice solutions to enable offices to attract, develop and retain the very best talent to support local / regional business objectives and the Group objective to be recognised as a national employer of choice.


OVERALL PURPOSE

The Group People and Training Specialist will support the Group People Manager in the delivery of the Group People Strategy, provide consultancy advice to leaders on employment law and Group Policy be responsible for organising and facilitating national conferences, learning and development programmes, Group reporting and people projects.

THE SPECIFICS

The key duties of this role are as follows:

You'll provide People and employment law advice to leaders across the business

You'll support Group People Manager in delivering a range of People activities and solutions and other ad-hoc projects.

You'll organise and facilitate the annual conferences and workshops

You'll manage and maintain the learning management system to co-ordinate training bookings and provide engaging content and career development paths.

You'll keep e-learning up to date for on-boarding of new people.

You'll take a lead role internally on the organisation, launch and communication of the development programmes. This will include facilitation of webinars and giving psychometric assessment feedback.

You'll keep our intranet up to date with engaging guidance for our partners on how to get the best from their teams and how to manage performance.

You'll keep our intranet up to date with (and communicate directly to Partners where appropriate) information about reward and benefits.

You'll work with external providers and be a key point of contact for queries about People and Training and provide admin support to the Group People Manager.

You'll produce guidance for our partners on all People and Training topics and be a first point of call for queries.

You'll produce reports and analysis relating to People and Training as required by the business.

You'll network regularly with colleagues at Group Services.

You'll travel to our offices and other venues around the UK to make sure training and national events run smoothly.


EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING

Experience of coordinating and facilitating conferences and events and sourcing venues

Experience of working within a People role and advising on employment law and employee wellbeing

Experience of coordinating training and maintaining a learning management system

Experience of using Psychometric Assessments and giving feedback (preferably with Thomas International)

Experiencing of working in a multi-site environment and travelling to different locations for business events/programmes

Experience of writing policies and training modules

CIPD Qualified (level 3 or above) or equivalent.
