We are looking for a highly skilled entrepreneurial individual to join the team to assist us in achieving our strategic goal of being the number one advisor to owner managed businessese.

We are a top 15 accountancy firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK. A well-established firm since the 1930's with an entrepreneurial and dynamic feel who are continuing to grow nationally as well as regionally.

This is a mix of corporate tax and R&D role and will involve contributing to the provision of an excellent range of specialist tax services to a diverse set of clients and providing support for the Tax Manager/Partner. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate initiative and good judgement when carrying out tasks on the client's behalf

The R&D Associate duties will be:

  • Identify R&D related work with existing and new clients
  • Be able to compile reports and submit to HMRC on behalf of the client
  • Have strong numerical ability
  • Have good knowledge of basic accounting principles and how HMRC's R&D Tax Credits scheme works
  • Interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation in a variety of different industries
  • Graduate in any of the below fields: - Technology, i.e. Computer Science - Accounting - Business - Economics OR Professional equivalent qualifications
  • Interact with partners and fellow staff in a technical capacity

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a R&D related role is essential.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Understanding of R&D tax credits
  • Engineering and mathematical skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a relevant degree or professional equivalent qualifications
